WILL NOTE 60TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY ON DEC. 28

Mr. and Mrs. J. J. KEPNER will observe their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Dec. 28th. They will hold open house at their home southeast of Tampico for relatives and friends from 1:30 to 5 p.m.

J. J. KEPNER and Minnie Marie SCHMIDT were married Dec. 27, 1896 at the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. John SCHMIDT at Buda, by the Rev. B. F. COKLEY.

In the year 1893 KEPNER came from Donnelly Bills, Pa., and worked at Byron with his cousin and later at Buda where he met his bride. They moved to Tampico on the farm they purchased in 1915 and where they still reside.

Mr. and Mrs. KEPNER are faithful members of the Tampico Methodist church.

They are the parents of seven children, Dyson and Selby at home, Homer of Walnut; Mrs. Leroy (Ethel) STEWART, Mrs. Wilson (Ferne) BERGE of Tampico. A son Lloyd passed away in 1938 and an infant daughter while they were living in Buda.

There are twelve grand children Mrs. Wallace CALVERT, Phoenix, Ariz.; Richard KEPNER, Pasadena, Calif.; Lowell, David, Dale, Kathy, Kent and Leo KEPNER, Walnut; Irving Stewart, Rockford; Gwendolyn, Sharon and Lorraine BERGE, Tampico.
