HOWARD METCALF BREAKS LEG

One of the bones in Howard Metcalf's right leg was broken about half way between the knee and ankle last Saturday afernoon. With several other boys, Howard had been coasting on the Lyons hill east of town and had started home. Several sleds were tied behind a buggy and the rope of one of the sleds broke which upset Howard and Mack Parent's sled. The runner passed over Howard's leg and the bone was broken. he was brought to town on the sled and the leg set by Dr. Wahl.
