CHAUNCEY REYNOLDS was born in Connecticut in 1812, and move early in Erie county, New York, where he remained until the fall of 1837, when he came to Portland. His death occurred in 1851. Mr. REYNOLDS married Miss Amanda AYLESWORTH in 1835. Their children were: Smith, killed in battle during the War of the Rebellion; Gardner, who married Miss Elizabeth STAKES; Augustus, who married Miss Ella MCKENZIE; and Edwin, who married Miss Mary LANPHERE - all of whom live in Prophetstown.
