John S. WARNER was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1784, and came to Prophetstown in 1837. He was a surveyor by profession, and was one of the leading minds of the  place from the time he became a resident until  his death, which occurred in 1864. He married Miss Sybil PERRY in 1806. Mrs. WARNER died in 1865. Their children were: Irene, who married Rev. William PALMER, and is now dead; Ruby, wife of David UNDERHILL, living in Prophetstown; and Mary, wife of Alonso DAVIS, also living in Prophetstown.
