Shareholders of the Tampico-Hooppole Railroad sold the entire road last week Friday at a meeting held in Hooppole to the Rockford & Northern Co. The consideration was $19,000 cash and the turning over of the shares of stock practically all of the old shareholders transferring their shares in that exchange. The new company proposes to go ahead at once and extend the road south to Geneseo and north to Rockford.
