September 9, 1920 Mr. and Mrs. George ISHERWOOD motored to Dixon Monday and saw the wind up of the celebration of the opening of the new concrete highway between Sterling and Dixon. The celebration was held at Prairieville and there were hundreds of autos decorated with flags from both Sterling and Dixon. Mr. and Mrs. ISHERWOOD met over 300 cars coming from the celebration whos occupants were singing "smooth sailing" on the fine new road.
