FINISHED THE SURVEY

Drainage commissioners C. R. ALDRICH of Tampico, N. WARNER of Prophetstown and Ed GROVE of Montmorency with Engineer SEARS of Prophetstown have just completed a survey of the big ditch north of town. Levels were taken from Coon creek clear to Swan Lake and it was found that in the twenty miles traversed there is a fall of fifty-five feet but that the ditch is considerably filled up with sand and that in order to secure the required depth for effective drainage it will be necessary to have the ditch dredged out again. It has been some fourteen years since the dredge went down the ditch.
