Tampico Tornado, Thurs., Jan. 21, 1943

Mrs. H. A. TERRY received word recently that her grandson, John Wayne GLASSBURN, seaman first class, is a patient in a hospital at Pearl Harbor where he is receiving treatment for a leg injury received in action the first of the month. A number of other seaman on his ship were also injured. He will have his leg in a cast for almost three months.

Seaman GLASSBURN enlisted April 13, 1941 and was stationed for a short time on the east coast, later being transferred to the west coast where he was assigned to active duty with the Pacific fleet about the middle of July. His wife and two-year old daughter reside in Davenport, Ia. where Mrs. GLASSBURN is employed in a war plant. His mother, Mrs. W.O. PARSONS, makes her home in Geneseo.
