I am seeking pictures of the original Yorktown church of Christ, built in 1894. I anyone has pictures, or articles, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have discovered that the Yorktown Church of Christ was, in 1894, called the Christian Church of Yorktown. I don't know if this makes a difference on your search for pictures, or not.

I have been unable to contact Richard Hinton. I've been calling 542-6222. Any ideas?

Let me check the files at our FHL. Pastor Devore from the Tampico Church of Christ gave a presentation last year and left some literature. Can't remember if there were any photos, but the Tampico church "sprang" from the Yorktown church. Oops, I found the photos in our Picasa web photo albums. No picture of YT church, but there is some history. I'll see if I can find any other photos. Click on photo to go to "album" - click on individual photos to read history.
