Hello All, The Tampico Area Historical Society is most grateful to TheWisp, which provides us with free internet and email service. However, they are a young company and are still working out a lot of "bugs" to keep their operation running smoothly. Currently, they have "lost" my entire email account. I am certainly hoping they can retrieve it at some point. However, I would like you to all have my personal email account as a backup source of contact. That account is ddm1050@hotmail.com Hopefully TheWisp will resolve all their issues and we can continue with their services. If you have recently emailed this wisp account and are waiting for a response from me, you may want to re-send the request to the above hotmail account. I appologize for any inconvenience. Denise

The Wisp has now changed their entire email program. In the process they have lost about half of my IN box (appx. 100 emails). I can also no longer access the email program from my home, which means I have to go to the Historical Society to retrieve any email to the tahs@thewisp.net account. I am in the process of setting it up to redirect to my other email account, but not sure if it is possible with their new program. As long as the are providing us with FREE internet service, I suppose we will keep using their services. However, if anyone knows of any of any other ISP that could/would offer the TAHS free I-net service (no dial-up), we would be willing to review the offer! In the mean time, please direct your email queries to my personal account at hotmail (ddm1050@hotmail.com)for the fastest reply. You can still use the tahs@thewisp.net, which is what all the links are on this site = argh! I hate the thought of going through and changing all of the links AGAIN! Either email will work, but I cannot get to the historical society everyday to read the tahs emails. Sorry for any inconvenience. If you have sent an email in the past month to the tahs@thewisp.net and have not heard back from me, you may want to resend it to, since it may be lost to cyber space. May I suggest that you always post any queries to the message board first. There are so many helpful folks out there, many who have lived here all of their lives and know the area history much more than I. You don't have to post your email, people can contact me, with your permission to send them your email privately (via a private email contact). Sorry for all the confusion. I guess it's true - at least with ISP's - "You get what you pay for"!

THAT'S IT! The Wisp has managed to wipe out my email account, including all folders and contact lists for the 3rd time. I was not able to safe-guard it all by saving it to my hard drive - mainly because I didn't have the time to do it since their last screw up. So, because I have nothing better to do with my life, I will slowly be going through the website and changing my contact email address to my personal hotmail account. Oh joy! If you have emailed me and are still waiting for an answer, it is probably because I have not received it (or it was "lost" by the wisp). Please resubmit or better yet, post your querey on the MESSAGE BOARD. This will give you much broader exposure to many people that may be able to help. Thank you and I appologize for any inconvenience. (We are looking for a new service provider for our computer at the historical society, if anyone has any suggestions).
