GRIM REAPER'S HARVEST
Several Well Known Residents of This Vicinity Die Suddenly This Week
Mrs. Rasmus Johnson, mother of Mrs. J. M. Adams of this place, died very suddenly at her home southeast of here Tuesday about noon. The cause of her death was neuralgia of the stomach and gall stones. She had been confined to her bed and was propped up withpillows to eat her dinner when she was taken with violent coughing and expired. The funeral sevices were held Thursday at 2 o'clock at thelate home and interment was in Whittington cemetery. Rev. French of New Bedford officiating.
Mrs. Johnson was one of the well known residents of south of Tampico, where she has resided for some time. She leaves eight children, four boys and four girls as follows: John of Van Orin; Peter, Theodore and Rheinhart, of Rock Falls; Mrs. J.M. Adams of Tampico; Mrs. T. A. Drayton, of Thomas; Mrs. W. F. Meek, of Thomas and Miss Elvine Johnson. An obituary will be published later.

OBITUARY OF MRS. HANNAH JOHNSON
Mrs. Hannah Johnson died at her home in Fairfield township, Tuesday, March 24, 1903. The funeral was held at her late home Thursday at 2 o'clock , interment was in the Whittington cemetery, Rev. French officiating.
She was taken sick about the middle of November and had been in poor health since, although at times she seemed better. She suffered from a complicaton of diseases and her death was due to heart trouble.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Solland, Denmark, April 20, 1842, and was married to Rasmus Johnson Feb. 9, 1861, both being members of the Lutheran church. She came to this country in June 1868 and resided in Fairfield township for some time. She leaves eight children to mourn her loss, her husband and four children going before. those living are John W. of Van Orin, Mrs. J. M. Adams, Peter J. of Fairfield, Mrs. T. A. Drayton of Thomas, Mrs. W. F. Meed of New Bedford, Theodore M. of Fairfield, Rhinhart of Rock Falls, Miss Elvena M. of Fairfield. She also leaves two brothers and one sister and host of friends to mourn her death.

AGED LADY ANSWERED CALL
MRS. MARY M. JOHNSON PASSED AWAY LAST THURSDAY - FUNERAL SATURDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Johnson, 83 years old, who passed away Thursday, were held at the Methodist church Saturday afternoon following a short service at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Wescott, with whom she had made her home for the past few years. Rev. J. S. White preached the sermon of comfort.
Favorite hymns, "Jesus Lover of My soul," "In the Garden," and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" were sung by Mrs. Eva Delle Johsnon, Mrs. Clara Steers, Clinton Brooks and Will F. Steers.
Interment was in Greenville-Fairfield Cemetery. Six nephews acted as pallbearers. They were T. M. Johnson, Harold, Rogers, Tracy Fullerton, Leonard Howlett, Fred E. Johnson and Wayne Johnson.
OBITUARY
Mary Martha Howlett was born in Henry County, near Spring Hill, on Nov. 25, 1852, and died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Wescott, who have been caring for he during her late years, April 16, 1936, aged 83 years, 5 months and 21 days. At about the age of four she went with her parents to Michigan where they remained 18 months and then returned to Illinois and settled on the farm which became the Howlett homestead, 12 miles south of Tampico, and lived there until 1887.
On January 23, 1878 whe was united in marriage to Peter K. Johnson to which union several children were ****(born), namely: Oliver, who died at *******e of six; Henry of Tampico; ******of Chicago; Ralph of Rock **** Eva who died at the age of ****Lillian Rosene and mrs. *****scott of Tampico.
