Dr. Sharon Callaghan has allowed me to borrow her 1872 Whiteside Plat Map so that I can take digital photos and upload them to our web album. I haven't finished photographing all of the townships yet, but I wanted you to be aware of the ones we have to date. I'll try to finish up in next few days. The Picasa web albums are especially nice since we are not charged for these off-site albums. They also allow you to enlarge and pan the photo. If you have g-mail(free), you can also leave a comment, correction, addition, etc. under the photo.
The "bad" news is that our search engine cannot "read" the names. So, you will need to know what area to look and then read the landowners on the map.
Let me know how you like this new Map & Atlas album. I also have an 1893 & 1912 plat map, but they are only part of an on-going "to-do" list..... (smile)
