I am trying to see if I have any relatives there in County Tipperary. My grandfather, James Murphy was born October 27, 1861 in Nenagh, to James and Katherine(Costello)Murphy. He immigrated to the USA in 1873(we believe by himself)He then lived with his father's brother, a New York City cop.Went to worked for 30 years on the Union Pacific Railroad, had 12 children and died in Nebraska in 1934. When we were in Nenagh in 1996 I was unable find any information on the family. I don't know if my grandfather had any siblings or any cousins. I'd appreciate any information anyone might have. Thanks James Murphy Ryan e-mail jrjamesmryan@aol.com

So any familis came to MN and N.D. after indians settled down. My Harrington, Morrison and Shaw families came to Fargo,N.D. from Illinois. Among them many Murphys. Bothe Murphy and Griffin men went into the haying business. Owned many flat bed semis for carring load after load of hay to Montana and South Dakota mainly. My father worked for both these companies as well as uncles
