If you have had trouble contacting me via the "tahs@thewisp.net" email, here is a message I just received from their tech support: Your Internet Service? From: thewisp.net Sent: Tue 12/30/08 1:25 PM To: tahs@thewisp.net FYI- The recent weather systems have caused alot of issues on our network the past couple of weeks. From extreme cold and winds, to rain and ice. On Friday the 26th, when the weather warmed up quickly, alot of these issues culminated, bringing down large portions of our network. Due to a shortened holiday staff our response times were reduced during this unexpected situation. Many customers were left with out service for multiple days. For this we truly apologize, and will be trying our best to give the appropriate credits for the lack of service during this holiday season. What we are doing about it: Over the past few months we have been building up our network to be more robust in these situations, however the work has not been fully completed. Many of our towers rely on just one link back to our major backbone. This is changing, where as now there will be multiple paths, allowing for wind or ice to damage a link with out affecting your service. We have also brought on a new technician so that we may better service our customers needs. Many of you may have already spoken or met with John. John has multiple years of experience in the tech support and wireless Internet industry. He is an excellent addition to our company. At this point service may still be slow for a couple of more days as we finish our work. We want to re-assure you that work is being done to prevent such situations. Thank You, Adam Johnson President/Co-Owner theWISP.net ________________________________________ I am very grateful to the Wisp - they provide us with FREE I-net service at the TAHS. They are a young company and still working out the kinks that is inherent in a new company. If you have a problem contacting me at that email address, feel free to use the "ddm1050@hotmail.com" address. Thank you, Denise
