Samuel and Malina Emmons children are buried in Tampico Cemetery, therefore I'd guess they would be buried there. However, I can't find a listing for them. I've Googled TMC, but find no number I could call to verify if they were buried there. Is there a number or is this a rural cemetery? Does anyone know if they were buried there?

Thanks,
Barb

Barb, I have the master list for the TMC. There is no phone # per se'. Samuel is in the Garden Plain Cemetery. See our site: EMMONS FAMILY IN GARDEN PLAIN CEMETERY

Also see all of the Family - click on individual photos to enlarge:
GARDEN PLAIN CEMETERY

Have you seen our EMMONS Photo Album on Picasa? EMMONS FAMILY ALBUM

Hope this is helpful.

Isn't that the grave of the younger Samuel?

I was interested in finding where Samuel Sr. is buried and his wife Melinda were buried.

Thanks,
Barb

Hi Barb,
On my next trip to Tampico,I will check the grave site and see if they are buried there. They are not on the master list.

Hi Barb, I went by the cemetery today. There is no mention of Samuel or Melinda on stone and there doesn't seem to be a space for another grave. I also checked the Cemetery Book we have that was done by the Whiteside Co. Genealogists in 1984. They actually walked the cemetery and recorded the headstones. Nothing listed for Samuel or Melinda. Do you have their death dates? Have you checked the Genealogy Dept. in the Sterling Public Library? If not, contact Marilyn Anderson who manages it. They have Whiteside Co. Death records and copies of Cemetery Indexes for all of Whiteside County. She may even have other information on the Emmons. I'll keep searching, but if you have an exact dod, please let me know.

Oops, just found an obit for Samuel, dod 1880, that you submitted. Sorry. Samuel Emmons Obit
Thanks

Thanks for looking, Denise.

Malinda's DOD was July 24, 1883.
