Dear All,

In a 1950 family genealogy of the Forward - Burnham families, it gave the death location for my 3rd. Great-grandfather, Guy Carlton Burnham (he connects to the Forward families of Tampico) b. 3 Nov. 1791 - 8 May 1876, as his death occured in Maplewood, Massachusetts. I have never been able to track a community of Maplewood, Massachusetts. I was able to track a Maplewood, N.Y., which is just above Albany, N.Y. where Guy's last work occured, as a clerk for the state of N.Y., Albany. In the early years of the internet, a list of community name changes of Massachusetts has always led to the never being a Maplewood, Massachusetts. What happened in the family history was so specific, that it would not track. It turns out that Maplewood, Massachusetts, is a neighbor-hood within the community of Malden, Massachusetts.

Guy's death and burial data can now be viewed on Ancestry, for those of you who have an interest to add it to your family file. Over the years, I have spent time on many searches for the information, and now I know.

Jack
