I'm renewing my search for any photos that might exist of my Great Granddad Nels Swanson 1859 - 1932.
He married Cora Bailey in 1890 and they lived in Tampico. Their only child was Stace Swanson. Nels was remarried to Bathilda in 1893 and they had 2 children , a son Arthur and daughter Mable. He died in Chicago while visiting Mable.
Nels was also married to Unice Onions. This history is provided so as not to be confused with another Nels Swanson in the same area and time.
Anyone researching this Swanson heritage is welcome to my public tree on ancestry.com titled: SWANSON FAMILY # 2

Hi GeneS,
I will post this on our Facebook version of TAHS as well. I'm pretty sure I already checked our archives for a photo. Hopefully a descendant will see this!

Thanks Denise - yes you did check quite a while back. I thought I would also try reaching out to possible descendants through my tree.
My ancestry is also the Alex McCombs family of Tampico and I may be of help to those interested.
Thanks again ! - -

Hi Denise;
In response to previous efforts , I have located a wedding photo taken on 3-31-1890 through Ancestry.com of my Great Grandparents Nels Swanson and Cora Belle Bailey. They were residents of Tampico and married in New Bedford. They divorced and Nels married twice after that , both preceded him in death. Nels died in 1932 in Tampico and is buried with his last two wives which are engraved on his head stone in the Tampico cemetery. - - GeneS

That is wonderful, Gene. If you email it to me, I can add it to our photo album and link it to this thread, if you like.
