The are the parents of Tena Meyer , wife of August. I would like to know when and where they died? I have found Cenus data from 1870 on her and 1880 on them when they were married and Tena at the age of two. They are the same age (1853) and 1880 were in Lincoln Valley, Ellsworth , Kansas.1900 and 1910 Cenuus they show up in Hume, Whiteside Co. I cannot find him in 1920. I think he dies in 1912 but can find no record of it. Can you help?

I talked to Jean Gerdes last night. We had a great conversation last night. She turns 88 next week. She knew all of the names but nothing new to add. She encourages me to keep hunting and to tell her all the new stuff. She speaks highly of you! The Meyer info was a missing link. Thank! Denise for all of your hard work for me.

Jim, I'm so happy you followed up with Jean. She is such a sweetheart. Her birthday is the same as Ronald Reagan's. Since Reagan was born in Tampico, it's quite a celebration every year. She always got a kick that I remembered HER birthday. I would tell her "Look how everyone is celebrating YOUR birthday, Jean"! (smile) We (the Tampico Historical Society) sponsors an annual birthday party for R. Reagan in conjunction with the Ronald Reagan Birthplace/Museum every year,so it was especially easy to remember hers. But, I think I would remember hers anyway. She holds a special place in my heart. Sorry she was not able to fill in the blanks. I was hoping Bob would have mentioned his uncle Henry at some point. Carry on...
