Figured I'd let ya'll know that my mom passes away on 6-6-14. She grew u in tampico. I remember may summer trips to tampico when I was a child. Riding in the cart with bobby hunny, I was little when I meet him n couldn't per nouns huntry. So I always called him bobby hunny. Daddy, William k. Korst has been gone since may 13th 1987. If any one has any memories, or pics of my parents I'd appreciate them. I think all of the kirst family from there are all gone now. My aunt Catherine, my dad's sister might still be alive but not sure. I'm also looking for an old mews article on my uncle toot. If anuon we has a copy or pic of it

Lee Ann Kirst-Sallee, of Niles
July 14, 1935 - June 6, 2014

Lee Ann Kirst-Sallee, 78, of Niles, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana.

She was born July 14, 1935, in Chillocothe, Illinois to Irma and Harold Richmond. She moved to Niles in 1972 from Carpentersville, Illinois and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Lee is survived by her significant other, Danny Sallee; son, George Kirst of Niles; daughters, Mari (Eddie) Cole of Niles, Janie (Jim) Holland of Rosemond, California, and Kathy (Rick) Selpien of South Elgin, Illinois; brothers, Al (Elizabeth) Richmond of Iowa, and Brian Richmond of Illinois; grandchildren, Chassidy (Anthony) Brown of Niles, Adam Kirst of Jackson, Michigan, Billy Kirst of Jackson, Michigan; three additional grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Irma and Harold; and brother, Harold Richmond.

Graveside service will be held at a later date by family and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Online condolences may be made at www.hovenfunerals.com.
