The Tampico Lions Club voted to sponsor the 2009 Tampico Homecoming Days Parade on Sunday June 28, 2009 starting at 1 p.m.
There will be 12 judging categories and prize money will be paid to the winners of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each of these categories: Antique Vehicles, Classic Vehicles, People Walking, People Riding Vehicles, Sports Teams, Commercial Floats, Civic Floats, Religious Floats, Antique Machinery, Modern Machinery, Commercial Trucks, and Horses will all be judged for prize money. Also non-judging entries will be Marching Unit, Political Floats, and Emergency Vehicles along with Miscellaneous is listed on the entry categories.
You are asked to send in your entry to Ron Church, 5845 Tampico Road, Tampico, IL 61283 or Larry Ebersohl, 24890 Star Road, Tampico, IL 61283 or call Ron at (815)-438-3442 or Larry at (815)-438-6582. Entry Forms maybe picked up also at the Ronald Reagan Birthplace M-S 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Sunday from 1-4 p.m. and will be in the Tampico Post Office on the informational table in the entry. We need to know the Name on the entry, Organization with address and phone number of the entry. You are asked to sign in at the Tampico Middle School, a block south and 2 blocks east of Casey’s gas station, starting at 12 noon on Sunday June 28th.
