Jan. 7, 2011 - Begin taking RESERVATIONS for R&B Dutch Diner Reagan Centennial Dinner @ Middle School on Feb. 4, 6:00p. Proceeds go toward Reagan Statue Fund. Contact: Butch/Rita McNinch, 815-438-2096

Jan. 18, 7p - Tampico Historical Society Reg. mtg. Finalize plans for Centennial Gala & Annual BD on Feb. 4 & 6th.

Jan. 20, 12:30p - Tampico Long Range Planning Committee meets in back room of Good Times. Come a little early if you want to eat lunch. Great way to inform community of upcoming events, discuss concerns & offer suggestions. Contact Terry Gaskill, 815- 535-3665.

Jan. 22, 8 - 11p.m. - Movie Night @ R&B Dutch Diner! Click here for details. Bring $10 and you will get - 1 small pizza (any toppings), one soda (two refils), and a bag of popcorn!

Feb. 4, 6:p/Apps & 7p Dinner - Centennial Dinner @ Middle School in Tampico, live band

Feb. 6 - Annual Ronald Reagan Birthday Celebration. Ronald Reagan was born, Feb. 6, 1911 in Tampico, IL. Cake and beverages will be served in the Tampico Area Historical Society Museum Bldg. @ 119 Main St., Tampico, IL. Tours will be available in the Ronald Reagan Birthplace & Museum @ 111 Main St., Tampico, IL. A U.S. Postal Station will be set up in the Birthplace (109-111 Main St.) from 10:00 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Birthplace is planning to offer silk screen cachets featuring a double rainbow stamp for the centennial celebration.
Feb. 10, 2011 - the Postal Service will be releasing the newest stamp honoring Ronald Reagan. There will be a dedication ceremony at 10 a.m. at the Birthplace & cachets will also be available on that day featuring the new Ronald Reagan Forever stamp. -

Feb. 22, 2011, 7p - Tampico Area Historical Society Reg. Meeting. Program: Hennepin Canal Renaissance Project. PR Director, Cathy Foe will do a presentation on the Renaissance Program for the Hennepin Canal. It would be helpful if you would let us know if you are attending, so that we may have adequate seating arrangements. An invitation to the Prophetstown Historical Society has been extended.
