The Birthplace Museum (111-113 Main St. Tampico) is currently open by appointment and will begin weekend hours in March - Saturdays 10 AM to 4 PM & Sundays 1 PM to 4 PM. From April 1 thru Oct. 31 the Birthplace will be open daily - Mondays 10 AM to 4 PM & Sundays 1 PM - 4 PM. The 2012 Birthplace schedule is now listed for your convenience. Joan Johnson would like to stress to please call 815-622-8705 if you would like to set up a visit outside of regular business hours.
