July 25th, 7p.m. in Historical Bldg. 119 Main St. - CANCELED!
August 22nd, 6:00 p.m. - ANNUAL POTLUCK! Bring a dish to pass & your own place-setting w/utensils. Beverage provided. We will meet an hour earlier in the Tampico Community Bldg. on W. Market St. Program: Hal Yeager will display his collection of Kaleidoscopes with an interesting inter-active history on them. As always, open to the public - bring a friend.
Sept. 26th, 7 p.m. in the Historical Bldg., 119 Main St. Ron Koehn will give a presentation: "Illinois Connection - Lincoln, Grant, Reagan, and Obama."
October 24th, 7 p.m. in Historical Bldg., 119 Main St. Steve Kastorff on Camp Annawan.

Email from Maxine Smith with corrections & additions of names of students in 1954 REEVES SCHOOL , THS Junior Class 1961-62 & 1955 Tampico Grade School
RESEARCHING:
Christopher MILLER (b/ 20 Jun 1840, Bern, Switzerland) - d. 25 Aug 1907, Cook, IL) & family. Married Mary CARNEY. Children: Anna, John, Margarite, and Edward. Lived on Sect. 36, Montmorency Twp., Whiteside Co., (bordered County Line Rd./Harmon, Lee Co.). The property is now owned by B. Atchison. Miller daughter lives around the corner on County Line Rd. (I have his obit from Sterling Gazette. Does not give parents' names or POB). Went back to home and found owners home. Christopher Miller was her gr-grandfather! I have connected her with Mr. Cox in California. He is the great, great, grandson of Christopher Miller. Goal: Identify the ancestral town where they were born in Switzerland; and identify the name of Christopher's parents.
