May 28, 10:00 a.m.- Memorial Day Ceremony: Held in Ronald Reagan Park by the Civil War Monument. Tampico American Legion, Post 574 will present Colors, prayer, rifle salute, and taps to begin ceremony. A roll call of Civil War Veterans buried in Tampico Memorial Cemetery & St. Mary's Cemetery, A brief history of each of the four Battles inscribed on the monument will be given and a biography of civil war veteran Henry Wetzell will be presented by a descendant.
TAMPICO DAYS - June 21, 22, 23, & 24, 2012
Thursday, June 21, 6:30p.m. - Community Bldg on W. Market St. "GAME NIGHT" Free & open to all ages. Join us for this family game night to kick off the Tampico Days events. Prizes and refreshments. A fun evening for all ages. Contact: Terry Gaskill, 815-535-3665.
Friday, June 22, 5p.m. - Tampico Lions Fish Fry. Their booth will be set up so you can order from inside or outside the Beer Garden. Picnic tables will be set up outside of the beer garden as well.
Saturday, June 23, 5p.m - Tampico Lions Fish Fry. Their booth will be set up so you can order from inside or outside the Beer Garden. Picnic tables will be set up outside of the beer garden as well.
Saturday, June 23, 9a-11a - Fishing Derby on 172 Feeder Canal. Ages 0-15 yrs. 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes for each age-group catagory
Saturday, June 23, 2p-4p - Booth Park, Family Fun activities.

Sunday, June 24, 1p-6p: Sunday June 24 from 1-6pm the Countyline Cruisers will be hosting a Cruise in! There is no entry fee! All Cars, trucks, and bikes are welcome! Parking will be on Market Street along side the Dutch Diner! There will be door prizes for all participants! And everyone is invited to come up and look at all the cars! TAMPICO ATTRACTIONS:
"We have an 1/4 flat track. Many have come and have said this is the best track in Illinsois!! We have lawnmower races and motorcycle races, plus practice days to test and tune your bike. Lawnmower Race days we ask a $5 gate fee and $5 pit fee. Other days are donations. Feel free to come and enjoy for as little or as much as you want." 815.438.7985
