9. CHARLES E.3 LANE (CORNELIUS2, WILLIAM1) was born February 13, 1848, and died August 15, 1903 in Tampico, IL. He married SUSAN WROTEN, daughter of THOMAS WROTEN and MARGARET ADAMS.

 10. WILLIAM3 LANE (BENJAMIN2, WILLIAM1) was born June 18, 1837 in Olive, Ulster Co., NY, and died May 14, 1916 in Leon, IL. He married (1) JANE E. SLUSHER May 26, 1852 in Shandaken, Ulster Co., NY. He married (2) ELIZABETH WROE October 18, 1868 in Prophetstown, IL, daughter of BENJAMIN WROE and MATILDA KENNEDY.

He married (1) SARAH WINCHELL July 11, 1858 in Whiteside Co., IL, daughter of JOSEPH WINCHELL and LEAH ELMENDORF. He married (2) NANCY LEE MOONEY 1866 in Henry County, IL, daughter of REVEREND MOONEY and WIFE.

 13. ELIZABETH ANN3 LANE (GEORGE W.2, WILLIAM1) was born Abt. 1841 in Michigan, and died March 06, 1877. She married WILLIAM "OSCAR" HIXSON 1857 in Michigan, son of GEORGE HIXSON and PRISCILLA GREGG.

A little additional info on the Desc. of William Lane and Anna Lockwood -------
Elizabeth Ann Lane who married William Oscar Hixson  (my GG-Grandparents) have  only three of the six children listed.  The info I have is as follows:
 
Albert C. Hixson b. 04-19-1859  Prophetstown, IL. d. 07-01-1941 Braddyville, Iowa
 
Frederick ( John Frederick or Frederick John) Hixson          b. 08-11-1870 South Dakota     d. unknown 
(I am pretty sure Fred is buried in Henry Co.
married:  Unknown -if he ever did marry
 
Sylvan Eugene Hixson (my G-Grandfather  b. 04-16-1861  Tampico or Yorktown, IL. 
d. 06-04-1939  Geneseo, IL.
Sylvan married Harriet Miller
 
Nathan Edgar "Ed" Hixson b. 02-07-1863  Yorktown, IL.  d. unknown
married: Helen Louisa Hotchkiss
 
Elizabeth Bell Hixson  b. 01-01-1873 Tampico, IL.  d. 05-02-1955 Clarinda,  Iowa
married: Marion W. Andrews
 
Myrtle "Myrtie"  Hixson b. ca. 1875  Tampico, IL.  d. 1880 Atchison County, Missouri
(died at age 5 - the same year she received a certificate for perfect school attendence)
 
Elizabeth Lane died in 1877 when daughter Myrtie was about age two.   Father - William Oscar Hixson removed to Missouri and then returned to Tampico where he  married his brother's  widow (Mary Agnes Bacon Hixson)  in 1881 .   They removed to Missouri and then to Iowa.    William and Mary are both buried in Blanchard, Iowa cemetery. William and Mary also had six children.

 

 14. SISCELIA3 LANE (GEORGE W.2, WILLIAM1) was born Abt. 1845 in Michigan. She married EDGAR A. LADUE December 25, 1865 in Whiteside Co., IL.
