East side of town

Taken from top of elevator. First sign to left was Vera's Cafe and is now the Tampico library. Next building was originally the Harrison Dry Goods store. In this photo it is a hardware store (I think) and is currently the Tampico Area Historical Society. The rest of the buildings to the right (south) burned down. The top floor of the Historical Society also suffered much damage and was recently repaired with grant monies. From "Vera's Cafe" building - north (left) is the Funeral Parlor and was once also Parent Furniture Store/Funeral Home. Next is currently the Reagan Birthplace Gift Shop, next was the First National Bank (recently restored) and above it was the apartment where President Ronald Reagan was born in 1911. The last building to north (far left) is now Sandrock Insurance Company.
