IDA  M.   (Bound) DAFT  HECHT

 

Prophetstown: - Ida M. Hecht, 90, died Sunday at CGH Medical Center.  Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, Prophetstown. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the church. Arrangements completed by the Gardner Funeral home.

 

Mrs. Hecht was born Nov. 3, 1899 in Prophetstown, the daughter of Luther and Elizabeth Beechel Bound. She married Glenn Daft in 1922; he died in 1929. She then married Hugo Hecht in 1937 and he died in 1967. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Prophetstown, a past president of the United Methodist Women's Society, a past Matron of the Minerva Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She was a volunteer at the Prophets Riverview Center and active in the local Red Cross, and many other civic projects.

 

She is survived by a step-daughter, Elaine Wilcox, Tempe, Ariz.;  two step-sons, Vern, Moline;  Walt, Burlington, Iowa; a niece, Ardith Pobanz, Ballwin, Mo.; a nephew, Richard Bound Sr., Prophetstown.

 

She was preceded in death by a son, two stepsons, and two brothers.
