SHIRLEY  V. (Walters)  KELLY

 

Mrs. Shirley Kelly Succumbs Friday

 

Mrs. Shirley V. Kelly, 74, 606 E. 4th St., Rock Falls, died late Friday afternoon at Rock Falls Colonial Acres.

 

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. David L. Beebe, the pastor of the First Christian Church of Rock Falls, officiating.  Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.  Visitation is at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

 

Mrs. Kelly was born on Jan. 18, 1904 in Erie, the daughter of Mahlon and Virgina (Collier) Walters.  She was united in marriage to Lyle S. Kelly Jan. 27, 1950 at the Dixon First Methodist Church.  They lived their entire married life in Rock Falls.  She was a member of the First Christan Church of Rock Falls.

 

Survivors include two nephews, Ralph Walters of Rock Falls and Charles Walters of Tulsa, Okla.;  one niece, Doris Sommers of Medina, Ohio.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle on Nov. 4, 1968; two sisters and two brothers.
