Vernon Harold Hartz Dies In Hospital

 

Manlius: - Vernon Harold Hartz, 65, a farmer of RR 1, Tampico, passed away Monday in the Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton.

 

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Manlius, the Rev. Arthur Stees, officiating, with burial in Manlius Cemetery.

 

No formal visitation is scheduled, but friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Howard Johnson Funeral Home.  Memorials may be directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

 

Vernon Hartz was born Feb. 22, 1903 in Manlius Township, the son of Fred and Priscilla Dale Hartz. He married Blanche Nicholas on Dec. 11, 1929 in Manlius. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Manlius.

 

He is survived by his widow, two sons, Gene of Walnut and Marvin of Tampico; four daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Helen) Hurley of Manlius; Mrs. Leonard (Norma) Hansen of Tampico; Mrs. Stanley (Ethel) Jensen of Walnut; Mrs. Richard (Elaine) Albright of LaGrange; one brother, James of Manlius, three sisters, Mrs. Chalmers, (Mary) Alters of Sheffield; Mrs. William (Nellie) House of Ohio; Mrs. Lester (Ortha) Jorgensen of Sheffield and 15 grandchildren.

 

He was preceded by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
