FRANK CLARK SIBLEY

 

Frank Sibley, 84, Tampico, Passes Away

 

Tampico: - Frank Clark Sibley, 84, retired farmer, died Wednesday in his home after a year's illness.

 

Frank Sibley was born July 8, 1879, the son of Charles and Emma Fuller Sibley in Portland Township.  He was reared and educated in the Prophetstown area and March 3, 1908 he married Maude Arnett. He had resided in the Tampico area for the last 40 years. He was an active member of the Methodist Church.

 

Surviving are his wife, three sons, Donald and Roland of Prophetstown, and Kenneth, Tampico; three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Yarde, Rock Falls; Mrs. George (Dorothy) Rosese, Sterling; and Mrs. Lawrence (Mary) Dimond, Sterling; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, one sister, Miss Grace Sibley, Prophetstown; three brothers, Ralph and George, Prophetstown and Freemon, Erie.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. 

 

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Schmitt Chapel with the Rev. Roger Baumeister of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
