George Ingle




TAMPICO - George A. Ingle, 60, of Tampico, died Thursday, July 10, 2008, at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. He worked as an overland truck driver for many years.


Mr. Ingle was born March 24, 1948, in Chicago, the son of Allen and Betty (Taylor) Ingle. He married Carol Meier on Feb. 22, 1970, in Lyndon.


Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Denise (Mike) Bates of Rock Falls, Angela Ingle of Tampico, and Amy Westlund of Augusta, Ga.; a son, Gary (Nickie) Ingle of Yorktown; two sisters, Shirley (Walter) Kennedy of Chicago and Darlene (Marlow) Elbert of Layon, Utah; two brothers, Jerry (Pat) Kutz of Joliet and Robert Kutz of Florida; and seven grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Yvonne Salsman.


There is no funeral. Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling.


A memorial has been established.
