Harmon: - Lauren E. Foley, 59, of Route One in Harmon died Sunday afternoon at Sterling Care Center. Funeral Prayer Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Walnut with Rev. William Harbert officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Ohio. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with the family present from 7-9 p.m. only and a Rosary recited at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. 

 

A memorial has been established to St. John's Catholic Church and the American Cancer Society. 

 

Mr. Foley was born on Oct. 11, 1927 in Ohio, the son of Leo and Loretta Sullivan Foley. He farmed in the Ohio and Harmon area his entire life. The deceased was a member of St. John's Catholic Church of Walnut.

 

Survivors include one nephew, Leo J. Foley of Harmon and three nieces, Mrs. LaVern (Linda) Cook of Rock Falls, Mrs. Jerry (Lorraine) Fell of Sterling and Lois Foley of Harmon.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
