TERESSA  A.  (Bard)  LATHROP

 

Princeton: - Teressa A. Lathrop, 91, of 444 S. Church Street in Princeton, formerly of New Bedford, died this morning at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the New Bedford Christian Church with Rev. William A. Douglass officiating. Burial will be in Greenville-Fairfield Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the Howard Johnson Funeral Home in Manlius.  A memorial has been established.

 

Mrs. Lathrop was born on Oct. 17, 1895 in New Bedford, the daughter of Willard and Cora Dietz Bard.   She attended New Bedford grade schools and graduated from Rock Falls High School in 1914.  She taught at New Bedford, Pleasant Ridge and Thomas schools.  Mrs. Lathrop retired from the U.S. Post Office in New Bedford after 21 years of employment. She had been a member of the New Bedford Christian Church, the Christian Women's Fellowship of the church and had held various offices in the church. She was also a member of the New Bedford Mothers of World War II, the Rebekah's and the Royal Neighbors.

 

Survivors include one daughter, Helen Bowen of Lake Tomahawk, Wis.; one son, Warren Lathrop of Annawan; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
