LOIS  M.  (Davis)  HICKS

 

Prophetstown: - Lois M. Hicks, 58, of 7573 Blue Goose Road, Prophetstown, died Sunday, May 23, 1999, at CGH Medical Center.

 

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

 

Mrs. Hicks was born Sept. 18, 1940 in Widemouth, W.Va., the daughter of George and Helen (Terry) Davis. She married Kelly E. Hicks on July 5, 1958. He survives. She was employed by Micro-Gear as a machinist for four years and by Winning Wheels as a cook for three years. She loved to go rummage saleing and helping others.

 

Survivors include four daughters, Sharon F. Hicks of Lexington, S.C., Sandra Elaine Hicks and Tracy J. Hicks, both of Prophetstown, Joan S. Hassell of Rock Falls; two sons, Kelly Russell Hicks of Streamwood and Gregory Eugene Hicks of Sterling; two brothers, Lindel Davis of Mount Airy, N.C., and Lowell Davis of Peterstown, W.Va.; a sister, Connie Muncie of Wytheville, Va.,; six grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.
