CECELIA  VICTORIA  (Martenson)  SCANLAN

 

Rock Falls: - Cecelia Victoria Scanlan, 83,l of 520 W. 10th St., Rock Falls, died Monday, Oct. 30, 1995 at CGH Medical Center.

 

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Rock Falls, with the Pastor Robert C. Kinnear officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home, Rock Falls. A memorial has been established.

 

Mrs. Scanlan was born Sept. 19, 1912, in Thomas, the daughter of Antone F. and Maria (Lovegren) Martenson.  She married William Scnalan on Aug. 31, 1932, in Harmon. She was a member of the Immanual Lutheran Church of Rock Falls.

 

Survivors include her husband of Rock Falls; two sons, Norden (Mary Jane) Scanlan of Tampico, and Lawrence (Peggy Jo) Scanlan of Lyndon; three daughters, Amarylliss C. McNinch of Rock Falls, and Avalon (Clarence) Clayton and April (Michael) Ransom both of Lyndon; two sisters, Anne Crane of Chandler, Ariz., and Dorothy Von Holton of Rock Falls; 25 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald; six brothers; one sister; one grandchild; one great grandchild; and one son-in-law, Carlos J. McNinch.
