Caryll R. VanDeusen Rites Friday

 

Manlius: - Caryll R. VanDeusen, 60, of Manlius, died Wednesday at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

 

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Howard-Johnson Funeral Home in Manlius with the Rev. Harold Schlink officiating. Burial will be in the Greenville-Fairfield Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Thursday at the funeral home in Manlius from 7-9 p.m.  A memorial has been established to the Manlius Rescue Unit.

 

He was born May 5, 1916 in New Bedford, the son of Robert and Mabel Krager VanDeusen. He married Betty Jurgenson on Nov. 9, 1941 in New Bedford.  He was a service ooperator for Harper-Wyman in Princeton. He was a member of the Wyanet Veterans of Foreign Wars.

 

Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Karen) Lauritzen of Ohio; two grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Mabel VanDuesen of Sheffield; and two sisters, Mrs. Lester (Mildred) Hansen and Mrs. Earl (Madelyn) Benson, both of Sheffield.

 

He was preceded in death by his father.
