Mrs. E. Whipple Funeral Rites Tuesday

 

 

 

Tampico: - Mrs. Elizabeth M. Whipple, 87, Tampico, died Sunday afternoon in the Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Nursing Center, Prophetstown.  Friends may call at the Schmitt Chapel after 7 p.m. today. Funeral rites will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Church with the Rev. Eugene Parker officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tampico.

 

 

 

Mrs. Whipple was born in Hahnaman Township Feb. 1, 1884, the daughter of John and Christina Helen Schauff Sr.  She was united in marriage with Clarence Whipple Feb 6, 1907 in the parsonage of Sacred Heart Church, Sterling. She had resided in the Tampico vicinity her entire lifetime.  She was a member of St. Mary's Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and Royal Neighbors of America.

 

 

 

Surviving are two brothers, William and Hubert Schauff, both of Deer Grove.  Her husband preceded in death in 1965.  Also preceding in death were seven brothers, Paul, John, Jacob, Fred, Joseph, Henry and Leo Schauff.
