TAMPICO - Brenna L. Adams, 49, of 6974 Tampico Road, Tampico, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at her home. She was employed by Prophetstown High School for 13 years as a teacher's aide, and sang with local bands in the area for more than 10 years.

Ms. Adams was born Jan. 7, 1959, in Sterling, the daughter of Raymond and Marilyn (Hoffman) Anderson.

Survivors include her significant other, David Wetzell; two sons, Rylan Adams and Lucas Adams, both at home; three stepsons, Keith (Alisha) Wetzell, Kevin (Mallory) Wetzell, and Kristofer Wetzell, all of Tampico; her mother; four brothers, Gavin Anderson of Montana, Kirk Anderson of Elizabethtown, Tenn., Matthew Anderson of Minneapolis, and Andrew Anderson of Seattle; four sisters, Shelly Anderson and Christie Baker, both of Freeport, Erin Lansford of Lyndon, and Sheilah Jordan of Tampico; a stepgrandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and two nephews.

The funeral is at 7 p.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, Tampico, with the Rev. Monty Fox, pastor, officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church. Arrangements were completed by Garland Funeral Home, Tampico.

A memorial has been established.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in the United Methodist Church, Tampico, with the Rev. Monty Fox, pastor, officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service. 

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the church.

Brenna L. Adams, age 49, of 6974 Tampico Road, Tampico, Illinois died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at her home in Tampico.

Brenna was born on January 7, 1959 in Sterling, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Marilyn (Hoffman) Anderson. She was a graduate of Sterling High School in Sterling, Illinois. She worked at Prophetstown High School for 13 years as a teacher’s aide. She sang in local bands in the area for over ten years.

She is survived by two sons Rylan Adams and Lucas Adams both at home;
her significant other of 17 years David Wetzell at home; three stepsons Keith (Alisha) Wetzell of Tampico, Illinois; Kevin (Mallory) Wetzell of Tampico, Illinois; Kristofer Wetzell of Tampico; one step grandson Evan Wetzell of Tampico, Illinois; her mother Marilyn Anderson of Sterling, Illinois; four brothers Gavin Anderson of Montana, Kirk Anderson of Elizabethtown, Tennessee, Matthew Anderson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Andrew Anderson of Seattle, Washington; four sisters Shelly Anderson of Freeport, Illinois; Christie Baker of Freeport, Illinois, Erin Lansford of Lyndon, Illinois, Sheilah Jordan of Tampico, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, and two nephews.
