BETTY  (Lancaster)  STONE

 

Mrs. Betty Stone Dies, Services Held Saturday

 

Prophetstown: - Mrs. Max (Betty) Stone, 67, died in Muskegon, Mich., following a short illness.  The former Betty Lancaster was born Feb. 15, 1904 in Prophetstown, the daughter of William and Eva Ann Hill Lancaster.  She received her education in Prophetstown and the Moline Lutheran School of nursing.

 

She married Dr. Maxwell E. Stone in Ann Arbor, Mich., Oct. 19, 1929.  They had always lived in Muskegon. 

 

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. George (Eleanor) Gesahl, and Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Wenk, both of Michigan; Mrs. Robert (Patricia) McDonald, Wilmette; one sister, Miss Dora Lancaster, Prophetstown, 13 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other relatives in the Prophetstown area.

 

Mrs. Stone was preceded by her husband, parents, one brother, three sisters.
