BARBARA (Peterson)  BOUND



Prophetstown: - Barbara Bound, 91, of Prophets Riverview Center, Prophetstown, died Thursday, April 17, 2003, at the nursing home.



Mrs. Bound was born Sept. 13, 1911, near Sheffield, the daughter of Lewis and Vera (Draper) Peterson.  She married Orson Bound on Dec. 12, 1931, in Mineral.  She volunteered at Prophets Riverview Center for many years and assisted on the drive to the established Winning Wheels, Prophetstown.  She was a member of United Methodist Church, Prophetstown, and Prophetstown Historical Society.



Survivors include a sister, Vera "Babe" Lawrence of Prophetstown; and several nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by a son, Darrell; six brothers; and two sisters.



The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday at Prophetstown United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Sandy Harbour, pastor, officiating.  Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown.  Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church.  Arrangements were completed by Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Prophetstown.



A memorial has been established.
