Hilma S. Peterson, Tampico, Succumbs 

Tampico: - Hilma S. Peterson, 89, Tampico, died Saturday morning at Colonial Acres Rest Home, after a long illness. 

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Schmitt Chapel, Tampico, and burial will be in Memorial Cemetery.  Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Peterson was born Aug. 18, 1881, in Sweden, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lundquist.  On Feb. 24, 1904, she married Oscar E. Peterson and they farmed in the community all their married life. 

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Clayton (Mildred) Smith, Tampico, and three sons, Leonard, Sterling; Virgil, Tampico, and Vernon, Prophetstown; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two brothers, George Lundquist, Rock Falls; and Oscar Lundquist, Aurora, Neb.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Feb. 13, 1934.
