GROVER  NELS  ROSENE 

Grover Rosene, Tampico Succumbs 

Tampico: - Grover Nels Rosene, 81, died Wednesday noon in Community General Hospital, Sterling.  There is visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Schmitt Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Schmitt Chapel by the Rev. Clarke Devore, pastor of the Tampico Church of Christ.  The burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. 

Grover Nels Rosene was born Sept. 27, 1892 in Maytown, the son of Nels and Cecila Nelson Rosene.  He was united in marriage with Lillie H. Hjertstedt in 1945 in Chicago.  He had resided in the Tampico vicinity 74 years.  Mr. Rosene was a veteran of World War One and past commander of Tampico Post 574 of the American Legion. 

Surviving with Mrs. Rosene are two sisters, Fred Rosene and Mrs. Tillie Newman, both of Lyndon and one brother, Clarence Rosene of Kasbeer.  Preceding in death were three brothers, Harry, Roy and Edward and one brother in infancy.
