LEO  ANTHONY  SCULLY 

Leo Anthony Scully Passes Away Wednesday 

Tampico: - Leo Anthony Scully, 62, died Wednesday at the Community General Hospital in Sterling.  He was born in Ohio, Ill., June 13, 1900, the son of John and Jane Scully.  He was educated in the Ohio schools and married Marguerite Dillon, April 14, 1926 at St. Mary's Church in Tampico. They resided in Tampico for 35 years.  He was a member of St. Mary's Church and served on the school board for the Maple Hill School for several years.  He farmed northeast of Tampico for 36 years.  

Surviving are his widow, one son, Leo Thomas Scully at home and one daughter, Mrs. Willard (Marilyn) Monteith of Rock Falls, and one granddaughter, Lynda Diane;  two brothers, Edward and George, both of Ohio and three sisters, Mrs. Mary O'Connor of Toledo, Ohio;  Mrs. Edward Egan, Deer Grove and Mrs. Harold Johnson, Wyanet. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jack and Frank. 

Funeral services will be held in St. Mary's Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday with the Rosary at the Schmitt Funeral Home in Tampico Friday at 8 p.m  Rev. A. M. Weitekamp will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Tampico. Friends may call at the Chapel after 2 p.m. Friday.
