IRMA  (Morrill)  JOHNSON 

Mrs. Valfred Johnson Succumbs Wednesday 

Prophetstown: - Mrs. Valfred (Irma) Johnson, 65, died Wednesday evening at Morrison Community Hospital. She had been a former resident of Prophetstown. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Prophetstown Congregational Church, with Rev. Daniel Boxwell officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.  A memorial has been established in her memory.  There will be no visitation. 

Mrs. Johnson was born June 4, 1907 at Prophetstown, the daughter of Orris and Grace Walker Morrill. She was educated in Prophetstown schools and at Illinois State University at Normal. She married Valfred Johnson of Prophetstown at Sycamore on Sept. 16, 1927. The couple lived in the Prophetstown Community until 1966 when they moved to Mountain Home Ark. She was a member of the Congregational Church and the DAR. 

Survivors include her husband, one son Craig, Prophetstown and three grandchildren.
