Walnut - Eileen I. LaRussa, age 92, of Walnut Manor Nursing Home died on Wednesday January 13, 2010 at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton, Illinois.

She was born on February 28, 1917 in Kilbourne, Illinois, the daughter of Wallie Bell and Ethel (Goben) Summers. She was united in marriage to Stephen LaRussa on May 22, 1937 in Bowling Green, Missouri and he preceded her in death on September 27, 1994. She was a resident in Walnut since 1944 and she worked as a bookkeeper at Andersen Ford in Walnut, Illinois for many years.

Eileen is survived by one son Dr. Philip (Brenda) LaRussa of Folsom, California; one daughter Jan (Mike) Marshall of Miramar Beach, Florida; one grandson Ryan LaRussa of Folsom, California; one sister Juanita Colton of Muscatine, Iowa; two brothers Bill and Kenneth Summers of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, one sister and twin granddaughters.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Walnut Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Nolden, pastor of the Walnut United Methodist Church, officiating.
