Peter Pierson Dies, Funeral Rites Friday

Tampico: - Peter Pierson, 92, died Wednesday after a weeks illness at a rest home in Rock Falls. The body was removed to the Parent Funeral Home in Tampico.

Funeral services will be held at the Tampico Methodist Church at 2 p.m. (CST) Friday. The Rev. Swaney will officiate.  Burial will be in the Fairfield Greenville Cemetery.

Peter Pierson was born in Sweden, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Pierson. He received his education in Illinois.  He was united in marriage to Hannah Linder on October 31, 1895 in Chicago. They had lived in Tampico about 19 years.  He was a member of the Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Arthur Pierson, Adams, Wis.;  two daughters, Mrs. Victor Brickson, Downing, Wis., and Mrs. William Hill, Colfax, Wis.; one brother Arthur, Manlius; one sister Mrs. Nettie Volland, Rock Falls; three grandchidlren and two great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one brother Oscar, and one sister Mrs. Nellie Johnson.
