CORNELIUS  J.  CONNELL

Cornelius Connell of Jordan Called Wednesday Evening

Cornelius J. (Connie) Connell, 77, passed away at his home in Jordan Township at 8 p.m. Wednesday.  The remains were brought to the Trouth Funeral Home where friends may call up to the time of the funeral which will be held Saturday morning at 10 at the funeral home and at 10:30 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Sterling.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Tampico.

Cornelius J. Connell was born in Harmon Township in 1870 and was married to Miss Anna Callahan in 1896 at Schaler, Iowa.  He was a farmer by occupation and lived his entire life in this community, the last 31 years in Jordan Township.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Agnes Tobin of Long Grove, Iowa, and four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Theresa Mason and two brothers, John and Timothy.  He was preceded by three sisters, two brother and two children who died in infancy.

Mr. Connell was a member of St. Mary Holy Name Society.
