HELENE  (Nussie)  SHIMP

Mrs. Helene N. Shimp, 87, 116 Liberty St., Walnut, died Wednesday morning in Community General Hospital in Sterling.  Funeral services were held Saturday at the Allen-Garland Funeral home in Walnut.  A memorial has been established to the Walnut United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Shimp was born Aug. 13, 1893, in Walnut, the daughter of Otto and Alice (Etienne) Nussie. She married Hiram Shimp, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Walnut United Methodist Church and of the Rachael Circle of the church.

Survivors include three step children, Robert, Marian and Margaret, and one sister, Mrs. Viviane Cussins, Decatur.
