ANITA  (Gumfory)  GUDGELL

Burlington, Iowa   -  Anita Gudgell, 63, of Burlington, Iowa, formerly of Tampico, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at Burlington Medical Center, Burlington, Iowa.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Yorktown Church of Christ, Yorktown, with Pastor Dave McCarter officiating. Burial will be at Yorktown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Garland Funeral Home, Tampico.  A memorial has been established to the Yorktown Church of Christ.

Mrs. Gudgell was born on June 22, 1936, in Tampico, the daughter of Charles and Leona (Fritsch) Gumfory.  She married Lester Gudgell on Nov. 21, 1955 in Cambridge.  He survives.  She graduated from Manlius High School, and was a member of the Yorktown Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Lee Ray) Hanson of Burlington, Iowa; a step-daughter, Sara Martinson of Florida; a sister, Cleo Jean (Frank) Irwin of Grove, Okla.;  two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, a great step-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, two sons, Donald Gudgall and David Gudgell, and a brother.
