Prophetstown:  Ellen J. Williams, 29, of 702 Jackson St., Prophetstown, died Monday, Dec. 28 1998, at Vencor Hospital, Sycamore.  

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, Prophetstown, with the Rev. Steve Hartman, pastor of Hooppole United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at

Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.  Arrangements were completed by Gardner Funeral Home, Prophetstown. A memorial has been established.

Miss Williams was born Dec. 22, 1969 in Morrison, the daughter of Larry and Linda (Moore) Williams. She graduated from Prophetstown High School and received her associate degree from Sauk Valley Community College, Dixon.  She was employed by Dr. William Yemm, DDS, Sterling, and by Maruits and Jost Agency, Morrison, both as a secretary.  She was a member of Leon United Methodist Church and the Quad Cities Emmaus Community.

Survivors include her parents of Prophetstown; two brothers, Michael Williams of Champaign and Jeffrey (April) Williams of Davenport, Iowa; and two nieces and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Michelle, in infancy; her maternal grandparents; her paternal grandmother and great- grandmother.
